What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants for healing. Although the word “aroma” makes it sound as if the oils are inhaled, they can also be massaged into the skin. (University of Maryland Medical Center)
At Advanced Physiotherapy Clinic we believe that there are benefits in incorporating aromatherpy with the therapy sessions. Inside the clinic, we diffuse Young Living's 100% Therapeutic Grade oils such as Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and Peace and Calming (a blend of Tangerine (Citrus nobilis), orange (Citrus aurantium), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata), patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) and blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum) which promote relaxation. We also use Young Living's massage oils which contain relaxation promoting oils.
